CHRIS PORTER’S first-half goals were enough to seal the victory for Colchester.

U’s boss John McGreal said: “In the last couple of weeks we’ve been putting a lot of crosses into the box that we haven’t been able to get on the end of – but we stuck with the two lads up front and it worked.”

Luton midfielder Lawson D’Ath was encouraged after making only a third start since arriving in January.

He said: “The gaffer said keep being patient, but it was hard to get in.”
