Dylan wins by seat of pants

DUTCHMAN Dylan Groenewegen won the opening stage of the Tour de Yorkshire as other riders fell victim to a horrific crash.

The LottoNL-Jumbo rider topped a sprint ahead of Australia’s Caleb Ewan and Briton Chris Opie in third.

That came after several competitors, including Swiss star Reto Hollenstein (above), fell heavily in a dramatic pile-up on the final metres in Scarborough.
