WE WILL BURY TOWN HOODOO SAYS WALLACE

-

ROSS WALLACE is suffering memory loss over Ipswich’s shock 2-1 win at Hillsborough in November.

Sheffield Wednesday are at Portman Road today chasing a sixth straight victory that will guarantee a top-six finish. And Wallace is confident of three points which will cement a play-off spot for the second year running and end another league hoodoo.

Wednesday have defeated Ipswich just once since November 2006 and have failed to beat a Mick McCarthy side in their last 14 attempts.

But Wallace (above) doesn’t see a problem. “I can’t even remember the last match against Ipswich, it was that long ago,” said the 31-year-old winger. “We are in a different place now.

“There is so much quality in the team and we are full of confidence.”
