MUSA WILL BE FOX ON THE RUN

- BY JAMES NURSEY BY DARREN LEWIS

HARRY REDKNAPP insists he won’t play “hardball” to stay at Birmingham after admitting he is very tempted. Redknapp (left) kept City in the Championship after replacing Gianfranco Zola as boss with three games left. Blues won at Bristol City to avoid the drop. Redknapp will bank a £200,000 bonus for his work but is not contracted to continue any further.

But he held talks on Sunday night with City’s Chinese owners about staying if guaranteed funds for new signings. Dorsetbased Redknapp, 70, said: “I went up to London and we had a chat. I am going to have another meeting with them this week.

“I’m interested in staying but there’s a lot of work to be done, it’s a tough division. I am not playing hardball with anybody. It’s just a case of making sure.” LEICESTER striker Ahmed Musa could be on his way out of the club this summer – less than a year after signing. The 24-year-old, signed for £17million last July by Claudio Ranieri, has struggled for regular first-team action this season with just seven starts in the Premier League. In total the former CSKA Moscow striker (left) has managed just four goals in 31 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes this season. The Nigeria international fears he could find himself even further down the pecking order if, as expected, Leicester dip into the transfer market to revamp their strike force this summer.
