BRING WAR TO WOKING

-

It is good to hear the BBC intends to make a drama about H G Wells’ War Of The Worlds. Late animator Ray Harryhausen said he had always hoped Hollywood would make a movie set in my home town Woking, where Wells wrote the story. He also said it should be set in 1895, as in the book. He was right – Martians invading would be a lot scarier to late Victorians.

After reading about motor neurone disease sufferer Nigel Casson’s Dignitas death (Mirror, May 5), I fully agree assisted dying should be legalised.

I have seen the way this disease can cause so much suffering to the person and their families. We don’t let our pets suffer so why should humans be left to do so?

I agree with reader Mike Minchella that the new game show Babushka is good but he’s wrong about host Rylan Clark-Neal. I think he is perfect for a flamboyant show like this. He is charming, fun and fits in with the game format perfectly. I hope the ITV bosses give it another series and keep Rylan in charge.
