Pep ready to splash £100m for top targets Sanchez and Walker

MANCHESTER City players are convinced Alexis Sanchez and Kyle Walker are arriving at the Etihad in a £100million double deal.

City boss Pep Guardiola (below) has targeted Arsenal forward Sanchez and Spurs fullback Walker as his top two summer targets.

And City stars believe they are done deals, with Sanchez and Walker both set to leave North London to join Guardiola’s revolution.

Sanchez, 28, has only one year left on his current Arsenal contract, they have offered him in excess of £250,000 a week to stay, but missing out on the Champions League is a huge blow.

Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested and the German champions have made a strong move to try to sign the Chile forward.

But there is a growing belief at City that they are in pole position and that Sanchez wants to stay in the Premier League. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger insists that they do not want to sell to another English club and are ready to let him run down his contract rather than let him go to a direct rival.

But City believe an offer of around £50m would tempt Arsenal and, if the player wants to move, as the City stars believe, then it would be difficult to stop the deal happening.

Rightback Walker is also set to move to City and that deal looks more straightforward, with the Sheffield-born defender keen to move back up north. That gives City the edge over Chelsea, who are also believed to be interested, along with Bayern Munich.

But Spurs will demand around £50m for Walker as they prepare to sell this summer because he has fallen out of favour at White Hart Lane.

Walker, who knows he could treble his money at City, lost his place in some games to Kieran Trippier when his form dipped at the end of the season.

Bacary Sagna, 34, (left) is in the dark about his future, with his City contract due to expire next month.

He is one of six City players in a similar situation this summer .

The French defender said: “I just don’t know, about my future. It’s the end of my contract, so I am

open.”
