We’ve all – unless you’re one of those annoying, super-organised people – been there. A bottle of wine at room temperature. Until now, it meant a choice between putting ice cubes in your glass and gamely pretending it’s fine, or waiting forever. But it turns out all you need to do is give the bottle a bath – in ice water, with plenty of salt – and it’ll be perfectly chilled in three minutes. Yup, two minutes and 59 seconds too long, but hey, it’s a start.
