Extra time for RBS

Royal Bank of Scotland and lawyers for thousands of shareholders have been given until June 7 to reach an out of court settlement. A High Court judge yesterday granted both sides extra time to resolve a row over a £12billion cash call from 2008. The settlement – which would avoid shamed ex-boss Fred Goodwin appearing in court – could cost the bank £200million.
