ROSE: THERE’S A HOLE LOT MORE TO COME FROM ME

- BY NEIL McLEMAN

JUSTIN ROSE says he has recovered from the agony of his US Masters play-off defeat.

Rose, this week playing his first event in the UK since losing the Green Jacket to Sergio Garcia at Augusta, says he’d rather look forward than look back. Rose (right) said after the near-miss that defeat would “sting”.

But before teeing up at the BMW PGA at Wentworth, the world No.9 said: “The only way to describe it is I don’t wake up in the morning with a hole in my heart. I might sometimes think, ‘Yeah, that was close’ but I don’t walk around with it on my shoulders.

“I have so much ahead of me over the next 10 years or so that it’s not really worth looking back at it with any type of emotion until I’ve hung my golf clubs up.” Tommy Fleetwood was teamed up with model Jodie Kidd, radio star Georgie Bingham, and TV presenter Naga Munchetty for the pro-am event.

“I have never heard ‘fore’ shouted so much in my life,” the world No.28 said.
