May threat woman, 72, jailed

A DRUG-smuggling homing pigeon is held in a real coo by customs officers.

The courier, wearing a miniature backpack filled with 178 ketamine pills, was caught in Kuwait after crossing the border from Iraq.

The arrest confirmed suspicions that pigeons were being used to smuggle drugs – and came two years after officers in Costa Rica caught one with cocaine and cannabis.
