The repeats of Dad’s Army on BBC2 are great Saturday night TV fodder. Last week’s was a classic to be savoured. Seeing Captain Mainwaring drunk and Sergeant Wilson attempting to tell Pike he was his dad were priceless moments. The swerve from Britain’s Got Talent for half an hour is worth the sacrifice.
