Turn in killers, ring hero says
BOXING champ Amir Khan has accused terrorists of perverting his religion and urged people to turn in would-be bombers.
The 30-year-old former lightwelterweight world title holder spoke after laying flowers in St Ann’s Square and meeting families of those caught up in the atrocity.
He called on Manchester to stand together and went on: “This is totally against our religion.
“If these people are saying they’re doing it because of Islam, I do not believe that’s true. They’re twisting Islam. If you know information please go out there and report it.”
Khan, who comes from Bolton, Greater Manchester, went on: “Muslims all have to stick together.
“In all different religions there is always good and bad.
“Killing innocent people is not in the Koran. We all should stick together.”
