Moss gets Fever

-

Former Mad Men star Elisabeth Moss is working with BBC America on a period drama called Fever.

Based on a Mary Beth Keane novel, it tells the story of the first-known healthy carrier of typhoid fever, known as Typhoid Mary as she spread the disease across early 20th century New York.

Elisabeth acquired the original rights to the book and plans to produce and star in the project. She said: “I look forward to telling this story about one of the most infamous women in America, Typhoid Mary, a woman whose true tale has never been told.

“She was incredibly unique, stubborn, ambitious and in fierce denial of any wrongdoing until her death.

“She is incredibly complicated, something I seem to enjoy playing.” Expect to see it on screen next year.
