Uber chief’s mum dies in boat smash

THE mother of Uber co-founder Travis Kalanick has died in a boating accident.

Bonnie and Donald Kalanick were on Pine Flat Lake in Fresno, California, when their boat hit a rock and sank on Friday.

The 71-year-old and her husband were found on the shore

TYCOON Travis Kalanick but paramedics were unable to revive Mrs Kalanick, who was pronounced dead. In a memo to Uber staff, chief human resources officer Liane Hornsey said: “This is an unthinkable tragedy.” The sheriff’s department said a probe is ongoing and an autopsy was carried out yesterday.
