ITV, 7.30 & 9.30pm Cancel all plans, put your phone on silent, tear up the soap schedules – it’s the week when BGT takes over the telly.
Which means endless hours absorbed in the serious matter of judging variety acts, or cursing Simon Cowell for sending your family into a talent show stupor.
If you’ve been faithfully watching, you will have seen dozens upon dozens of auditions – some good, some brilliant, some downright terrible.
We’ve seen everything from jugglers, magicians, singers, dancers and comedians, to a green-bearded man who said he was abducted by aliens and a man in a questionable yellow suit who swallowed razor blades.
Now begins the live semi-finals as the final 40 acts perform, hoping to impress the judges and the public.
Every night this week judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and David Walliams, and hosts Ant and Dec, welcome eight acts to perform.
Only two acts from each semifinal will go through to Sunday’s live grand final – and a stab at winning £250,000 and a spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
