Orient sale nears line
MILLIONAIRE businessman Alan Bowers is hoping to complete a takeover of crisis club Leyton Orient, who have just dropped out of the Football League.
Former West Ham and Norwich player Bowers, now in property, is leading a consortium of east London businessmen and met Orient bigwigs on Friday.
Unpopular Italian owner Francesco Becchetti is trying to sell the club he bought for £4million in 2014.
Orient could face going out of business if they cannot complete a takeover quickly.
