WINGER Steve Coppell faced a fight to convince England manager Ron Greenwood of his fitness on the eve of the British championship clash against Scotland at Hampden Park. The Manchester United star was suffering from the efffects of a knee injury but he played the full 90 minutes and a goal from Paul Marriner sealed a 1-0 win.
