Titch twitchy over antiques
GREEN-fingered Alan Titchmarsh is more worried about butter fingers in his quiz Masterpiece after an unfortunate incident. The TV gardening guru has ordered contestants to “handle with care” the antiques they have to guess the value of.
During the pilot for the show, now in its second series, a man dropped a decanter which smashed.
Alan said: “Mercifully it was not worth that much, just a few hundred quid.”
This series items include the bullwhip from the Indiana Jones films and silent comic Charlie Chaplin’s boots and cane.
Alan had better hope no contestant tries a bit of slapstick.
