-

A MUM of four died from sepsis while on holiday in Bulgaria, an inquest heard.

Medics who treated teaching assistant Liz Fairclough after a fall failed to spot an infected scratch and give her antibiotics.

Liz, 51, of Bolton, Gtr Manchester, became very ill. Prof Satyan Rajbhandari said she may have survived in the UK.

In a narrative verdict, Lancashire coroner Dr Richard Adeley said “opportunities for treatment” were missed.
