Grayson goes potty for Brexit

Grayson Perry has revealed new artwork Matching Pair, two monumental pots – one each for Leavers and Remainers – which he created after a social media appeal.

The artist, 57, invited the public to contribute ideas, images and phrases to represent Britain and Brexit.

The pots go on display at the Serpentine Gallery, London, from June 8. Grayson said: “The two have come out remarkably similar – a good result, for we all have much more in common than that which separates us”.

The Remain pot includes an image of late MP Jo Cox, while Nigel Farage is on the Leave one. The pots are revealed ahead of Channel 4 programme Grayson Perry: Divided Britain tonight at 9pm.
