City Silva service a real treat

MANCHESTER CITY have made a big statement of intent in signing Bernardo Silva from Monaco.

He’s a top-quality player who runs exceptionally well with the ball and makes things happen.

My only question about him is whether he has the durability – he’s quite slight – for the Premier League.

But if Silva (above) dovetails with Kevin De Bruyne, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero it’s going to be something special.

His arrival makes me wonder whether this could be the end of Raheem Sterling at City unless he has a season and a World Cup to remember.

Because it looks like boss Pep Guardiola, to borrow a line from David Dein, has parked a tank on Sterling’s front lawn and is firing Portuguese midfielders at him.
