ELECTION2

-

The General Election has fuelled a housing market slowdown.

The number of house hunters registered with estate agents fell 4% in April, said the industry’s trade body.

There was an even bigger 8% drop in homes for sale. Mark Hayward, chief executive of the National Association of Estate Agents, said: “Periods of political uncertainty tend to halt activity, and this is what we’re seeing this month.”
