Josh can’t rile Ohara
JOSH TAYLOR vowed to make Ohara Davies show “his true colours” after the Londoner refused to take the bait at a press conference in Glasgow.
Scot Taylor and Davies will clash at the Braehead Arena on July 8 for Taylor’s Commonwealth superlightweight title in a show named “Bad Blood”.
After clashing on social media for months, the pair came face-to-face yesterday when Taylor tried to rip Davies’ sunglasses off and told Davies he was “too thick to outbox me”.
Davies enraged Taylor by not rising to his jibes, saying: “I have said a lot of things about him on social media, but I know he is not a bum.
“Even though the show is called ‘Bad Blood’, there is no bad blood on my part. Josh Taylor is a good fighter and I don’t hate him. It is just business.”
Taylor said: “I thought it was very tame, but his true personality and antics will come out. You can’t hide your true personality.
“I tried to prise it out of him, but he’s been told to keep it respectful – but we will see his true colours.”
