Karanka Orta be new boss at Leeds

LEEDS have moved closer to appointing Aitor Karanka as their new head coach by hiring his pal Victor Orta.

Leeds chairman Andrea Radrizzani appointed Orta as his director of football yesterday after the Spaniard was sacked by relegated Middlesbrough.

Boro made Orta their chief scout in 2015 and he was a close ally of compatriot Karanka (above). Radrizzani said: “I have been impressed by his scouting network.”
