Begovic picks Cherries move

- BY ALEX CROOK

ASMIR BEGOVIC has left Chelsea in a £10million switch to Bournemouth – 10 years after he first pulled on a shirt for the Cherries.

The Bosnia keeper, 29, has signed a five-year deal with Eddie Howe’s side.

He began his career in English football at Portsmouth and played eight games for south-coast rivals Bournemouth on loan in 2007.

Begovic said: “Being part of a title-winning team at Chelsea was amazing, but it was the right time to move on. I want to player regularly and show people what I’m capable of.”
