MAY’S RUINING SCHOOLS

-

How sad to read about the plight of our schools due to Theresa May’s recklessness. Teachers are being sacked, class sizes are rising, parents have to pay for books and pupils assist with cleaning after school hours. The Tories allege they are putting more money into schools, just as they allege they are funding our crippled NHS adequately. What nonsense. The carnage is there for everybody to see.

To hear a school in May’s own backyard is axing staff in an attempt to plug a £200,000 black hole beggars belief (Mirror, May 29). However, it must be far worse in other parts of the country the Tories have ignored for years. The only glimmer of hope is that since Mrs May is the queen of U-turns, maybe she will rethink her disastrous school cuts. After all, today’s schoolchildren are our hope for the future.
