SWEPT AWAY BY A ROLLER

-

This is a classy motor. It’s the Rolls-Royce Sweptail, a custom built version of the Wraith coupe that’s a complete one-off.

The customer who ordered it must be well-heeled as I dread to think what it costs to get Rolls to build you a special body.

Anyway, the result harks back to the days of special-bodied luxury cars of the 1920s and 30s when Rolls-Royce supplied the powertrain and chassis, and coachbuilders did the rest. Put October 26-29 into your diaries for the British round of the World Rally Championship, or Wales Rally GB, to give it its proper name. This year there’s strong British interest with Kris Meeke and Elfyn Evans doing well so far with the former winning in Mexico and the latter almost doing so in Argentina in April.
