Take 5 items to interview

-

Great news – you’ve bagged an interview. Now our recruitment website Fish4jobs says there are five things you should take with you to ensure you have the best chance of landing the job...

1 Bottle of water

Some interviewers will offer you water, but not everyone will. Being hydrated before you go into an interview means your mind will be clear and alert. Also, you can take a sip of water after being asked a difficult question to give you valuable seconds to think of a response. 2 Notepad and pen

Useful for writing down any information you’re given, but will also show you’re prepared and organised. 3 Copy of your CV

In most cases the interviewer will already have a copy, but it’s good to have one yourself. It shows initiative and gives you something to refer to if you’re unable to recall an answer. 4 The interview address and contact information You wouldn’t want to miss your interview because your smartphone battery runs out. 5 Some pre-prepared questions Do some research on the company and any new areas, products or news items that could be relevant to the role you’re applying for. This will show you’re really interested in the job and the company.
