Hitman Cory’s starring role

Leeds v Leigh 8pm EXCLUSIVE BY GARETH WALKER

CORY PATERSON may be the next rugby league star to hit the big screen – once he has finished helping Leigh secure their Super League status. The big Aussie backrower (left) has been playing a hitman in feature film The Dark Return Of Time, which is due out later this year. He follows in the footsteps of league tough guys Adam Fogerty, who was in Snatch, and Rob Parker, who appeared in the BBC’s Taboo. Paterson, 29, said: “This is a bit of escapism – it’s just been fun.” Tonight’s trip to Leeds is the Centurions’ third game in eight days. Paterson added: “It’s very tough, but we’ll carry on fighting.”
