Guardiola blast over ref justice

-

PEP GUARDIOLA claims it is referees that make the Premier League such a tough challenge.

The Manchester City boss failed to win a trophy in his first season at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola said: “The intensity of the game depends on the conduct of the referee. Here where there are fouls everywhere and the referee does not give one, the game does not stop, with quicker counter-attacks more often. It is different.”

Answering questions from fans for club sponsor Betsafe, he admitted he had had to make some changes to his approach since he joined City last summer. “I adjust because of the quality of the players,” he said.

City have until 2020 to re-sign striker Enes Unal after agreeing a buy-back clause with Villarreal whom he joined for £12million.
