Champions League final tickets alert

- BY JOHANNA CARR

FOOTBALL fans are being warned not to buy tickets for tonight’s Champions League final from touts as they could be stolen.

Police in Cardiff warned tickets sold on the street may not give access to the match after a number were stolen from a hotel near the airport on Thursday.

Detectives released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the theft.

Up to 200,000 fans are set to descend on the city when title-holders Real Madrid take on Juventus.

A spokesman said: “If people buy tickets off the street they probably won’t give them access as stolen tickets are cancelled.”

South Wales Police will deploy 6,000 officers over four days, with 2,000 more in Cardiff today, it said.
