Zidane the Special One
ZINEDINE ZIDANE has the “special” qualities for Real Madrid to make Champions League history.
The French icon is out to help the Spanish giants become the first club to win the trophy in two consecutive seasons.
And Real defender Sergio Ramos believes the fact Zidane was an all-time great as a player put him on the same wavelength as a dressing room of superstars at the Bernabeu.
Ramos said: “Zizou is a very special coach – he has not been here long, but already he has won the Champions League once and La Liga.
“From the first day he unified the team, he has the humility and personality to do that.
“He played in every big game there was as a player – and because he has that experience he understands how to prepare the players for these big games.”
Ramos expects Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon to be a formidable barrier tonight.
He said: “This Juventus team are especially organised in defence. With Buffon they have a true legend, and one of the most special players I have seen in my career.”
