SRI LANKA skipper and star man Angelo Mathews faces a late fitness test to decide whether he can tackle South Africa at The Oval today.

All-rounder Mathews (right), who celebrated his 30th birthday in London yesterday, is nursing a calf injury that could rule him out. South Africa captain AB de Villiers said: “If Angelo plays, obviously he’s a big figure in their side – and he’s a matchwinner for them. “So it will be a big loss for Sri Lanka to lose him.”
