‘Choking game’ fears of boy found hanged after ‘bullying’

- BY LUCY THORNTON

A BOY of 11 thought to have killed himself over bullying may have been playing a choking game, an inquest heard.

Asad Khan was found hanged in his bedroom by his mum.

The Khan family’s solicitor Ruth Bundey yesterday revealed that the “Good Kids High” craze was “all over the school”. It involved children choking themselves in front of a mirror as a means of getting high. But pupils failed to mention the game to police when they were interviewed over alleged bullying. Outside court Ms Bundey called the new evidence “absolutely stunning”. She plans to call for a judicial review of the inquest in the High Court. Asad was a pupil at Beckfoot Upper Heaton School, in Bradford, West Yorks. Coroner Martin Fleming adjourned the inquest for 28 days for further inquiries.
