A Grande way to defy sick killers

- Wendy Tilley Cardiff

AFTER the horrific events in Manchester and London, it was so uplifting to watch the One Love concert. I found it quite overwhelming and can’t imagine how emotional it must have been for victims’ loved ones.

I hadn’t heard of Ariana Grande before the attack, but I now hold her in very high regard. Along with all the musicians who took part in this fantastic event, she delivered a powerful message of peace and togetherness.

I would like to express my gratitude to Ariana for arranging this beautiful concert at such short notice. And a big well done to all those involved and to everyone who donated to help raise money for the victims.

The Manchester One Love concert was the best possible reaction to the recent terror atrocities. It showed these mindless morons we are strong and united and we will continue to celebrate and enjoy life whatever they throw at us. Well done to Ariana Grande, Coldplay, Take That and all the others for making this such a special night. It will live long in all our memories.

Ariana Grande should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize. I believe it would be a fitting tribute to all those wonderful young people who stood up and defied terrorism at Sunday’s One Love pop concert. Ariana is such a genuine and brave role model and she should be recognised outside the world of pop music for what she brought to Manchester in the wake of the recent terrorist attacks.

Since our politicians and leaders seem unable to find a solution to ISIS, maybe we, the people, should find a way to show our solidarity?

How about we all adopt and wear the black-crossed ribbon of One Love Manchester as a mark of international solidarity against terrorism?

It was so emotional for Ariana Grande to come back to Manchester and put on this great show.

It was exactly the right thing to do because the families have more heartache to face in the next few weeks with the funerals of their loved ones.

Ariana did an amazing job in a very short time and showed the world what a lovely, caring young woman she is. The concert made me proud to be from Manchester.

After Saturday’s events in London following on so soon from the Manchester attack, I would like to say well done to the British people for getting back to normal. It was fantastic that the One Love concert in Manchester went ahead because it shows these barbaric extremists that they can’t alter our way of life. Well done to the police and security services for doing a great job.

T Boyle, Plymouth

I thought it was very courageous for Manchester Arena attack survivors to attend Sunday night’s concert. At just 23, Ariana Grande did an incredible job, along with the other stars who participated. What an amazing night.
