GARCIA’S LOVE MATCH

CAROLINE GARCIA won the all-French grudge match with Alize Cornet – then kissed and made up.

Bad blood was already festering between the pair before France No.1 Garcia (left) pulled out of a Fed Cup play-off against Spain in April with a back injury, and Cornet tweeted: “LOL” to her on Twitter.

But the world No.27 had the last laugh by winning 6-2 6-4 and Cornet congratulated her, exchanging kisses at the net at the end.

Garcia said: “I don’t want to get into a fight with anyone. What happened, happened.

“Honestly, this was not prepared. I shook her hand and I just kissed her – it came naturally.”

There are no Frenchmen left in the tournament after 2015 champion Stan Wawrinka overcame Gael Monfils 7-5 7-6 6-2.
