Pep should Buff up City

OUR clubs are miles away from challenging for the Champions League, but next season our best chance will come from Manchester.

That’s because City already have goals in them and they are spending a lot of money again this summer.

The big question is whether or not they will be able to keep clean sheets.

And if I was boss Pep Guardiola I’d be tempted to look at Juventus and say: “You know what, they’ll be a bit raw after the Champions League Final, I’m going to go and see if Gigi Buffon and/or Leonardo Bonucci can be lured on a two-year-deal.”

I’d tell them: “Come to Man City for two seasons and we’re going to win it for you.”

They’ve just spent all that money on Ederson, but there’s not a keeper on the planet who wouldn’t benefit from spending a year with Buffon.
