Young Lions can do the business

-

AIDY BOOTHROYD believes England have “unfinished business” in the European Under-21 championship.

The coach (above) has named six players with experience of elimination at the group stage.

And he challenged the likes of James WardProwse, Nathaniel Chalobah and Will Hughes to use that experience as motivation. Boothroyd’s squad go to Poland next week for their opener against Sweden on June 16.

He said: “We’ve got guys who already know what the Euros are like and see themselves as having unfinished business there.

“That in itself is good motivation and can spread to the rest of the squad.”

England will face Italy in the Under-20 World Cup semi-finals in South Korea after beating Mexico 1-0.
