Blood donors at the double

-

THE number signing up to donate blood has doubled since the Manchester terror attack.

There was a 119% increase after the explosion at Manchester Arena on May 22, official figures show.

And there was a 1,180% rise in the number of Mancunians.

Around 6,300 people – and 73 from Greater Manchester – join the register each week.

But 935 Mancunians signed up after the outrage, said the NHS Blood and Transplant service.
