It would take a cold heart not to be moved by the incredible Ariana Grande concert.

Her finale of Somewhere Over The Rainbow was utterly beautiful. And the entire show gave comfort to the victims of the Manchester attack and hope to a battered country.

And yet still we’ve had people snarling at ‘the pointlessn­ess of platitudes about love when we should be acting tough’.

These folk way underestim­ate us all. Humans are capable of love and hate at the same time.

And surely it’s only love that provides the energy and motivation needed to annihilate the enemies we hate. and Ofcom have received 216 calls from viewers outraged at Amanda Holden’s low cut Britain’s Got Talent outfit – 215, I guess, from Amanda ensuring she gets the booking for next year’s show. And the other from the same kind of shrewish old hags busy taking a pop at Little Mix during the Ariana Grande concert. Quite frankly, if keeping your breasts in that position at 46 after childbirth and a marriage to Les Dennis isn’t a great British talent, then I really don’t know what is…
