LUK WHO’S BACK!

Belgium star set for £100m Chelsea return.. three years after being sold from Bridge

- BY DAVID ANDERSON

ROMELU LUKAKU is set for a dramatic return to Chelsea – three years after they sold him.

Lukaku, 24, will snub Manchester United to return to Stamford Bridge, although Everton could demand £100million for him. The Belgium striker’s ambition is to win multiple Premier Leagues and feels Chelsea can provide him with

the best opportunity to do that, having lifted the title twice in three years.

Chelsea can also give Lukaku the Champions League platform he craves, and he feels he needs to leave Everton to take his career to the next level.

The Toffees will play hardball in negotiations over Lukaku, who has two years left on his contract, and have slapped a worldrecord valuation of £100m on him.

The west Londoners are unlikely to go that high, but the player and club are both keen to be reunited.

United have shown an interest in Lukaku. But Jose Mourinho barely gave Lukaku a look-in when he was at Stamford Bridge.

While on international duty with Belgium, Lukaku said: “Chelsea or Man United? No comment. I can’t say anything. I know where I want to go, but I will leave the talking to my agent.”

Michy Batshuayi is open to returning to Marseille to help his World Cup bid.

The £32m Chelsea striker said: “The new project is not bad, but I played at Marseille and I am now a supporter.

“But it is the club that decides not me.”
