Gambling ad was bad call
WATCHDOGS banned an advert for a gambling charity after finding that it was “shocking and distressing”.
The cinema ad for the Responsible Gambling Trust, screened only before Trainspotting 2, showed a woman sitting on a bed as an older man says: “It’s just a bit of fun. Remember that rush.” She then signs into a bingo game.
A viewer said the man could be seen as sexually abusive. The Advertising Standards Authority said the ad was “offensive”.
