Tycoon buried alive is saved by phone call from his grave
A BUSINESSMAN buried alive face down in a graveyard for four hours was rescued after he managed to call his brother from his mobile phone.
Khikmet Salaev, 41, was kidnapped over an alleged £410,000 debt and dragged to the burial ground.
But the gang did not take his mobile and from beneath the soil he got through to Ismail, 36.
The brother paid £16,430 off the debt and handed over Khikmet’s BMW to the “business partners”. Only then did the gang reveal where Khikmet was entombed and Ismail raced to the graveyard in Lyubertsy, south east of Moscow, to dig him out. He took the businessman to hospital, where he was found to have several broken ribs from being dragged to his grave. Russia fears the gang warfare following the Soviet Union’s break up in 1991 may return.
