‘Rolf spent £6m on defence’
ROLF Harris spent more than £6million defending himself against sex allegations, one of the complainants has claimed.
Harris, 87, who was jailed in 2014 for assaulting four young girls, walked free from a second trial last month.
Karen Gardner, who gave evidence against Harris at both trials, said senior police told her Harris “spent £3million on lawyers and private investigators for the first trial and probably more than that on the second trial”.
A jury could not decide if Harris had sexually assaulted her in Cambridge in 1977. His lawyers have been contacted for a comment.
