Mum misses train by 5ft

A MUM distracted by her children squabbling in the back of her car on the school run missed a train at a level crossing by 5ft.

Alicja Kurec, 34, failed to notice the lights, a guard waving and an alarm as she drove her daughter and son aged eight and six.

If the train had been going faster than 5mph it would have hit the car.

Swansea magistrates banned Kurec, of Cwmgors, Neath, for 18 months and fined her £450 for dangerous driving.
