Husband, 96, strangles his wife after she begs ‘Please kill me’
A HUSBAND aged 96 strangled his wife of 68 years after she begged him to kill her before saying: “The things you do for love.”
Jack Tindall admitted killing Ernestine, 88, with a dressing gown cord because they believed they were being moved into separate care homes.

Nottingham crown court heard the couple’s grandchildren had heard dementia victim Ernestine begging him to help her die. After the killing he put her on a bed at their care home in the city and laid lilies around her. He told police: “For years we’ve solemnly promised each other that if anything happens we know what to do and I’ve done it...my promise has been fulfilled.”
