SAM VOKES says Wales duty got him out of wedding planning – and reckons Belgrade will be his stag party. The Burnley striker (left) did not want the season to end after five goals in his last five Premier League games. But he has Wales’ match in Serbia tomorrow after a two-week training camp. He has left all the last-minute wedding preparations to fiancee Maddie ahead of their big day next week.

But he has at least promised her a honeymoon before returning to Turf Moor in July for pre-season.

Vokes, 27, said: “I’ve left her at home taking care of it. I have been out of the way so I am happy.

“This is my stag do – where else better than Belgrade? But I don’t know if we’ll be able to have a drink afterwards because we are straight back on the plane.”
