CRACKSMAN is in top form after his Derby third at Epsom and is on course for revenge in the Irish version at the Curragh.

The John Gosden colt (left) looked ill at ease round Epsom’s contours when third to 40-1 shot Wings Of Eagles.

However, owner Anthony Oppenheimer believes the Curragh’s galloping track will aid his colt’s bid for vengeance.

“He’s done a little bit of work, and he’s energetic,” said Oppenheimer, who confirmed the son of Frankel is set for a rematch with the Aidan O’Brientrained winner on July 1.

“The Curragh should be more suited to his stride — we were thrilled he was in the first three.

“But he was immature and missing his trial in the Dante at York made a big difference — how much, we’ll never know.”
