The 10 DUP MPs

-

Nigel Dodds

THE leader at Westminster, 58, a member of the Orange Order, became an MP in 2001.

In 2013 the Speaker ordered him out of the Commons for calling the Northern Ireland Secretary “deliberately deceptive”.

His office was targeted by the Continuity IRA in 2003.

Ian Paisley Junior

THE son of the party founder Rev Ian Paisley has caused outrage with his anti-gay views. In 2007, the 50-year-old said: “I am pretty repulsed by gay and lesbianism. It is wrong.”

A year later, he said police “should shoot dissident republicans on sight”.

Jim Shannon

A member of the Orange Order and the Apprentice Boys of Derry, the Strangford MP, 61, was last year told to repay nearly £14,000 in expenses. Found to be the highest claimant for staff constituency mileage in 2015, though no fraud was found.

Sammy Wilson

The ex-Finance Minister last year allegedly agreed with a member of the public who said “get the ethnics out”. He denied the claim.

In 2009, Mr Wilson, 64, said “jobs should go to people born in Northern Ireland before going to economic migrants”.

Gavin Robinson

AT 32, he is the youngest of those propping up the Tories.

The barrister was Belfast’s Lord Mayor in 2012 and has been MP for Belfast East since 2015. He sparked anger by failing to mention beaten rival, ousted Alliance MP Naomi Long, in his victory speech.

Gregory Campbell

BARRED for a day from the NI Assembly for mocking the Irish language, Mr Campbell, 64, began a 2014 address saying: “Curry my yogurt can coca coalyer”.

Nationalists use the Irish “Go raibh maith agat, Ceann Comhairle” (“Thank you, Speaker”) in the chamber.

Emma Little-Pengelly

HER dad Noel Little was a member of the Ulster Resistance involved in a foiled plot to buy weapons for loyalists.

Mum-of-three Ms LittlePengelly, 37, was elected for the first time on Thursday.

She’s an ex-special adviser to the late Rev Ian Paisley.

David Simpson

Deputy Master of Loughgall District and an Orangeman, Mr Simpson, 58, believes in creationism.

Opposing the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill, he said: “In the garden of Eden it was Adam and Eve, it wasn’t Adam and Steve.” Backed greater use of homeopathy.

Sir Jeffery Donaldson

PREVIOUSLY with the Ulster Unionist Party, Sir Jeffrey, 54, fell out with leader David Trimble and quit in 2003.

In the 2009 MPs’ expenses scandal, the married dad of two was revealed to have used allowances to pay for 68 films in his hotel room.

Paul Girvan

In 2015 Mr Girvan, 53, said scrap metal dealers should get guns to protect themselves from “gypsies.” Earlier, he said he had “no problem” if the Irish tricolour was burnt. Joined Northern Ireland Assembly in 2003. Now MP for South Antrim.
