Tigers get Leonid lift
LEONID SLUTSKY is targeting promotion back to the Premier League with Hull City after being confirmed as their new head coach.
As revealed by Mirror Sport, Slutsky, 46, has agreed to succeed Marco Silva and aims to bounce straight back up following the Tigers’ relegation to the Championship.
“I’m delighted to become the head coach of Hull City and I’m very much looking forward to the challenge of guiding the club back to the Premier League,” said the former Russia and CSKA Moscow coach.
Hull vice-chairman Ehab Allam is confident Slutsky can deliver promotion and said: “Leonid has enjoyed success both at club and international level and I’m excited about his plans.”
